FIM SPEEDWAY: DANISH RACER THOMSEN HANDED VOJENS SPEEDWAY GP CALL-UP

Home-track hero Anders Thomsen has been handed a call-up into the starting line-up for the 2026 Deluxe Homeart FIM Speedway GP of Denmark – Vojens on Saturday, September 12.

Thomsen was initially named as the first track reserve, but with Aussie racer Jack Holder withdrawing due to his ongoing injury battles, the Speedway GP first substitute star is now promoted into the main field.

Vojens Speedway Center is familiar territory for Thomsen, and the Sønderjylland Elite Speedway star will hope to add to his BST FIM Speedway GP of Sweden – Malilla win on July 11.

He is replaced as first track reserve by FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship leader Mikkel Andersen, who makes the move from No.18 to No.17. He also lines up in the Deluxe Homeart FIM SGP2 of Denmark – Vojens on Friday, September 11, bidding to hold on to a 10-point lead and lift junior speedway’s biggest prize.

His elevation to No.17 sees SGP2 rival Villads Nagel called up as second track reserve, now lining up at No.18 on Saturday, as well as competing in Friday’s under-21 event.
