COOK AND EDWARDS MOVE INTO STARTING LINE-UP
TWO changes have been announced for the Attis Insurance Sports Division British Final at Belle Vue next Monday (May 12).
Former champion Craig Cook, who just missed out on qualification in a run-off from the semi-final at Leicester last week, now comes into the line-up.
Cook marked his first day back in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership with Oxford Spires by scoring a 15-point maximum at Birmingham on Monday, and he takes the place of Lewis Kerr who was signed out on medical grounds at Poole on Wednesday.
Meanwhile Dan Gilkes crashed out of that meeting at Wimborne Road and is ruled out of racing in the British Final, so Jason Edwards – who was next in line from the semi-final – gets the call-up to compete in Manchester.

REDCAR trail Berwick by four points heading into the second leg of their MAXiCab KO Cup quarter-final tie at the ECCO Arena tonight (Friday).
The Bears welcome back both reserves Tom Spencer and Ace Pijper after they crashed out of the win over Workington last Friday, causing them to miss the first leg of the Bandits tie at Shielfield Park.
Redcar manager Gavin Parr said: “Both Ace and Tom have declared themselves fit, so it will be good to have them both back.
“I’m under no illusions that we are in for a tough test, Berwick are one of the dark horses this season for me.
“We obviously need to start fast and aim to get into a lead of our own and then start to put some distance between us and the Bandits.”
Berwick manager Stewart Dickson said: “It will be tough at Redcar, and they will come at us. We simply have to do our job, and that would be enough to get through.”
REDCAR: Charles Wright, Jake Mulford, Jason Edwards, Danny King, Erik Riss, Tom Spencer, Ace Pijper.
BERWICK: Craig Cook, Danyon Hume, Drew Kemp, Sam Hagon, Peter Kildemand, Dayle Wood, Jack Smith.

SCUNTHORPE complete their BSN Series group campaign when they host Workington at the Eddie Wright Raceway tonight (Friday).
The Scorpions have won one of their three matches so far, a narrow home success over group leaders Redcar, whilst the Comets need a big weekend if they are to challenge for a semi-final place, with a home clash with the Bears to come on Saturday.
Both sides are at full strength for the clash in Lincolnshire with the Comets having won the reverse fixture 47-43 last weekend.
Scorpions promoter Rob Godfrey said: “We put up a much better show at Workington last Saturday, so I feel things are heading in the right direction.
“There were plenty of positives to take from the Workington trip, particularly Declan Kennedy who won three races from reserve and scored 10 points.
“We’re in a decent position regarding the aggregate bonus point against Comets. All we can do is to try to score big against them and see where it leaves us once all the regional tables are finalised on Saturday.”
Comets boss James Denham said: “This weekend will be crucial if we want to progress in the BSN Series. The boys haven’t had as much track time as they probably would have liked, but we finally got underway last weekend.
“Winning the aggregate points in all these ties will no doubt be crucial on who qualifies for the semis, and that will be our target.
“Ideally we probably would have liked a little more of a lead heading to Scunthorpe, but for our first meeting at home it was just great to get an opening win on the board and I’m in no doubt the boys are capable of taking it to Scunthorpe.”
SCUNTHORPE: Steve Worrall, Luke Harrison, Simon Lambert, Connor Mountain, Jake Allen, Declan Kennedy, Zaine Kennedy.
WORKINGTON: Troy Batchelor, Jye Etheridge, Tate Zischke, Fraser Bowes, Antti Vuolas, Jacob Hook, Vinnie Foord.

GLASGOW manager Cami Brown is urging his side to step up their home form for tonight’s (Friday) BSN Series clash with local rivals Edinburgh.
The Tigers beat Berwick at Ashfield last Sunday to confirm their place as group leaders and secure their spot in the semi-finals.
But they are yet to fully convince around their own circuit with the Monarchs having already tasted victory at the home of their neighbours in the Scottish Cup last month.
Brown said: “We need to ride better on Friday. If we ride like that again, we won’t win.
“I said that to the boys after the meeting (with Berwick). We have to improve.
“The younger lads will need to chip in with more or we will be in trouble against Edinburgh.”
Glasgow are at full strength whilst Edinburgh bring in Matt Marson as a guest to fill their blank space at reserve.
GLASGOW: Chris Harris, Ashton Boughen, Dan Thompson, Leon Flint, Kyle Howarth, Freddy Hodder, Max Perry.
EDINBURGH: Justin Sedgmen, Kye Thomson, Jonatan Grahn, Paco Castagna, Oskar Polis, Victor Palovaara, Matt Marson.
