BRADY READY FOR ACTION
BELLE Vue skipper Brady Kurtz says he can look forward to the upcoming Grand Prix schedule with plenty of confidence.
Kurtz will be one of the favourites this weekend for the massive double-header in Manchester which takes place on Friday and Saturday and forms Rounds 3 and 4 of the series.
The Australian will be well supported by Aces fans, whilst Great Britain’s hopes are carried by Robert Lambert and Tom Brennan following the recent injury blow suffered by Dan Bewley.
Kurtz said: “The first two rounds were always the ones that I thought were going to be the toughest for me.
“They are probably the two tracks that I enjoy the least I guess you could say, but the rest of the calendar looks really good. There’s a lot of good tracks coming up, so I’m looking forward to all of them.
“I was really happy with second at Prague, it got me back up the table a bit which was definitely needed.”
Tickets for the Friday event in Manchester are available from the Tickets section of https://www.sgpmanchester.com .

SHEFFIELD and Oxford racer Luke Killen has withdrawn from this Sunday’s British Under-21 Final at Redcar.
Killeen suffered rib injuries in a crash at Cowley last month and further aggravated the problem at Belle Vue on Bank Holiday Monday, and has since missed fixtures for both of his clubs in recent days.
He said: “I’m absolutely gutted to miss out again, having had to withdraw from the SON2 last month and now missing my last chance at the British Under-21 Final.
“I am working hard to get fit for my clubs, and also I have an SGP2 Qualifier later this month which is a big goal for me now this season.”
Leicester Lion Cubs youngster Seth Norman is now promoted into the British Under-21 Final, with Stene Pijper taking over as first reserve and Lee Harrison will now be at No.18.

OXFORD hand a debut to new signing Edward Kennett when they host Redcar in the Cab Direct Championship tonight (Wednesday).
The Cheetahs secured their first win of the league campaign last week and are now looking to get the better of the Bears, who slipped to a second successive home defeat in their previous outing.
Kennett comes in at No.2 having replaced the unwell Erik Riss, whilst Luke Harrison guests for the injured Luke Killeen. Redcar again track Danny King at No.1 with Nicolai Klindt on Danish League duty.
Oxford manager Peter Schroeck said: “Redcar have been struggling a bit recently, but there’s no way we will under-estimate them, especially since they are a wounded animal and will be keen to bounce back. Every side in the Cab Direct Championship is competitive.
“The boys know there is a job to be done against the Bears. We rode well as a team against Edinburgh, with points across the board and another display like that would be more than welcome.”
OXFORD: Sam Masters, Edward Kennett, Anders Rowe, Luke Harrison, Mitch McDiarmid, Darryl Ritchings, Dayle Wood.
REDCAR: Danny King, Ace Pijper, Simon Lambert, Jason Edwards, Jake Allen, Jake Mulford, Jody Scott.

POOLE turn the spotlight on the sport’s developing talent with their latest staging of the Harbour Masters Championship at Wimborne Road tonight (Wednesday).

The meeting also features former Poole reserve Vinnie Foord, who is recently back from injury, with several riders who will be warming up for this Sunday’s British Under-21 Final at Redcar.
Co-promoter Dan Ford said: “I have always said that this meeting is not so much about winning, but more importantly it provides the opportunity to see how riders are developing.”
