JAMES McFADDEN IS 2025 AUSTRALIAN 410 SPRINTCAR CHAMPION
James McFadden has taken out the 2025 Clear View Accessories Australian 410 Sprintcar Championship at Murray Machining and Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway, South Australia Saturday night February 1.
In a dramatic final, McFadden, who started from the front row, was never headed throughout the 40 lap final as he led defending titleholder Lachlan McHugh and former national champion Kerry Madsen to the chequered flag.
“This victory marks another stunning achievement for James, cementing his place at the top of the sport. Big congratulations to him and his team for a masterful drive, and to everyone who took part in this thrilling championship. Thank you to all the fans, teams, and sponsors who made this event possible—your support continues to fuel the passion and energy of Sprintcar racing across Australia,” Sprintcars Australia (Sprintcar Control Council of Australia) said in its press release.
McFadden is now a three time Australian Sprintcar Champion and this latest success comes days after his recent win in the prestigious Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic for Team Brady McFadden started driving for this season.
It was a dramatic decider, particularly for Albury’s Grant Anderson who rode the fence in a wild series of flips.
Anderson Motorsport #37 issued the following statement after their driver was taken to Mt Barker Hospital for CT scans and are awaiting results at this writing after being allowed to head home.
“Ando was taken to Mt Barker Hospital by ambulance last night during the A-Main. He had CT scans for his shoulder and back due to pain and restricted movement, and has had his wrist confirmed fractured.
“He has since left Mt Barker Hospital with the approval of the wonderful doctors and staff, due to the delay of the results of the CT scan, and is in the care of our wonderful crew chief, Craig Edwards, and Josh Deimel. They are en route carefully home.
“The medical reports and CT results will be sent to our doctor here in Albury.
“We will update you further as soon as we know anything else. But he is okay, not going to lose a limb, and he thanks you all for your concern, well wishes, and love.
“We are still reeling from what this means for us, not only during the remainder of the race season but also in our personal lives. Please give him his space, and we will try to answer every one of you as best we can.”
Official result:
