SIDECAR LEGEND DARRIN TRELOAR HIGHLY IMPRESSED WITH RIDER LINE-UP FOR ISM 24

Eleven-time Australian Speedway Sidecar Champion, Darrin Treloar, says he’s highly impressed by the calibre of the field contesting night one (December 27) of the two-night Ikon Suspension International Speedway Masters.

An international sidecar field, featuring representatives from America, New Zealand, and Australia, has been selected to contest the prestigious, Darrin Treloar Cup, named in honour of the sports’ greatest ever rider.

“The field of riders and passengers assembled for this meeting is right up there with the best I’ve seen,” Darrin said from his Sydney based TRE Motorsport Repairs workshop.

“I love the fact the event has attracted competitors from America and New Zealand, as well as the best sidecars from around Australia, so it’s certainly shaping up as a night not to be missed.

“Gillman is a great track for elite speedway sidecars and I’m sure the ISM24 meeting will produce incredible racing. There’s big prizemoney up for grabs, for the winner, so no one will be holding back, that is for sure.

“I am very honoured to have the event named after me and it is obvious, just like everyone else, I want to win it!

“The field is littered with multiple Australian and State Champions, Oceania Champions, World 

Champions and FIM World Cup winners, so it’ll be a tough meeting to win,” Treloar concluded.
