EASTER TREAT AT WARRNAMBOOL’S SUNGOLD STADIUM

Warrnambool’s Sungold Stadium Premier Speedway will fire up for the final time this season on Easter Sunday, March 31, for the annual Easter Sprintcar Trail presented by the Flying Horse Bar & Brewery.
Super Rods and Late Models will complete the program which will feature a HUGE Fireworks show.
Total nominations are currently at 60 across the three divisions. Twenty-five Sprintcars have nominated including former Australian Champion Jock Goodyer and former Classic Champion Brock Hallet. Goodyer has been in scintillating form this season wherever he races, also winning the last Sprintcar feature at Sungold Stadium Premier Speedway.
Local Jamie Veal will contest the final round of the Easter Trail, looking for not only a round win a but also the Total Tools Warrnambool Track Championship which he currently leads.
Albury’s Grant Anderson, winner of Max’s Race in December, is always a strong performer at Premier Speedway.
Tasmanian Tate Frost has shown he can mix it with the best when it counts and veteran Brett Milburn will be looking to cap off his return to form with a win at Premier Speedway.
Late Models and Super Rods will be vying for their respective inaugural Track Championships presented by Australian Racing Products and JD Race Parts respectively.
Tasmanian Callum Harper is the points leader of the Late Model Championship however, he is closely followed by Peter Nicola with Chevy Edwards only twenty points off the lead setting up for a great final round this weekend.
Freshly crowned Victorian Super Rod Champion Jacob Pitcher leads the JD Race Parts Championship. Recent form would show Pitcher will be hard to defeat for the Track Championship.
The event will include a pit walk for the public prior to the program commencing. Entry will be via the internal public to pit gate only. Tickets are available for pre-purchase now from the Premier Speedway website www.premierspeedway.com.au
