ADAM ELLIS BECOMES THIRD BRITISH RIDER APPEARING AT AUSTRALIAN SPEEDWAY CENTENARY
Twenty-seven year old French born, British based, speedway star, Adam Ellis, is the latest big name international to confirm he’ll be riding in the Australian Speedway Centenary classic, at North Brisbane Speedway, on December 29.
Born in Marmande, France, Adam Ellis, commenced racing in grass track competition in 2009, ultimately winning the French Championship in 2011. He commenced riding in British speedway in 2012 with Isle of Wight and has since ridden for Ipswich, Lakeside, Birmingham, Eastbourne, Poole, Swindon, Scunthorpe and Sheffield.
The 2021 British Speedway Champion formed an integral part of Great Britain’s squad, which recently finished runner-up to Poland in the 2023 World Team Cup. Ellis also won a silver medal in the 2018 FIM Longtrack of Nations Team, underlining his versatility as a world class motorcyclist.
Adam currently rides in the British (Sheffield), Polish (Opole) and Danish (Fjelsted) Leagues. He joins Tai Woffinden and Dan Bewley as the third British rider contesting the 500cc Speedway Centurion Trophy on night two of the Australian Speedway Centenary “two night super show”.
Further major rider announcements will be made in coming days, in both sidecars (December 28) and solos (December 29).
