BELLE Vue have named Australian star Brady Kurtz as their new captain ahead of his second season with the Aces.
Kurtz takes over the role from Steve Worrall, who joined Wolverhampton over the winter, and is optimistic for a successful Premiership campaign.
He said: “It’s a first for me to be named captain of a team but I’m looking forward to it, I think I’ve got quite a bit to offer the boys as a skipper.
“It’s definitely a job I feel suited to, and it will be a learning curve as well, but I don’t feel any pressure. There’s a great atmosphere in the team and the boys have been very supportive.
“I think we’ve got a great bunch of lads so far. Obviously, we’re all very keen to find out who the last rider will be but I’m feeling good about this team.
“There’s a real buzz around the stadium and I think we are in for a really good season; hopefully it’s an even better one for Belle Vue than last year!”
