Round nine of the Mainline DynoLog Dynamometers All Star Series is back in action at Borderline Speedway, Mount Gambier this Saturday night, March 5. Racing four consecutive weekends throughout Victoria and New South Wales, the series now crosses the border into South Australia.
“The teams have been clocking up the kilometres over the past few weekends and it is a credit to them all. It’s been tough and the racing has been just as demanding. Mount Gambier has always been one of our favourite tracks and after missing out running their last season due to Covid, we are rapt to be back.” All Stars promoter Searle said.
Currently sitting at the top of the points leader board is the Mildura based McClure Racing with Brad Warren at the wheel of the super-fast Maxim. Warren picked up his first series A Main win at Horsham recently and the team would love to lock another feature race victory. In Charge Racing’s Jordyn Charge has also recorded a Main event win and he has been on the podium three
times in total.
He is very competitive every time he takes to the track. Charge currently sits in second spot on the points ladder. Third in the standings is DirtXind Paul Solomon. Solomon recently joined the 100 club with the series proving his dedication over the years. Next man is theHeath Hunter Hire family owned #V73 driven by Charles Hunter. Hunter was another to lock in his first series A Main win recently as well as a Quickest Time Award. Rounding out the top five in points is Brett Smith. Smith has been consistent all season. With the season heading toward a finish with only two more shows to go, all of the above teams will be looking very hard at gaining more valuable points.
Caruso Brothers Mark and Steven are both coming into the event with confidence after a one – two finish at Mildura last Saturday night (February 26), with Steven taking out the win and Mark placing second. Young hard charger Todd Moule had his first podium last weekend. The young 18 year old shows immense talent and gives his all. Lisa Walker has leased a 360 and lined up on the front row last weekend at Mildura. Walker has experience at the Mount
this season, already having a heads up on some of the All Star regulars who have not run there this season. Ben
Morris, Corey Sandow, Brendan Guerin, Phil Lock and home town local, Scott Enderl, are just a few of the All Stars to return on Saturday night.
Giveaways and driver autograph session through the crowd is a series favourite and, as Mandy Searle says, “we have stocked up again to do this.”
This Saturday night, March 5, at Borderline Speedway, Mt Gambier, make sure you’re there.
