Smith, 64, continues his magnificent career which in earlier years saw him as a regular on the World of Outlaws National Championship circuit.
Among many highlights of his Australian campaigns are back-to-back victories New South Wales Sprintcar Championships (1985, ’86) and two wins in the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic 1989, ’96) at Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway.
He was also placed in the top three of the World Series Sprintcars Championship several times.
