ACES AIM FOR TITLE WIN

BELLE Vue skipper Brady Kurtz says his side are ready for the job of converting top spot in the league into ROWE Motor Oil Premiership title success.
The Aces finished twelve points clear at the top of the table and have landed a semi-final clash with defending champions Ipswich, starting at Foxhall next Monday (September 21).
It was against the Witches that the Aces’ title hopes were ended in 2025, but after an away win at the Suffolk venue last week Kurtz says confidence is high that the Manchester side can put themselves in a good position.
Kurtz said: “We still need to do the business in the play-offs, but it’s always nice to finish top.
“It’s been a good season so far. We’ve been really strong at home, and we’ve had a couple of good away matches as well!
“Ipswich last week was really good, it was a good one on Monday (against Sheffield), and we’re ready!”

IPSWICH chairman Richard Coleman says his side will give it everything in their title defence as they face ROWE Motor Oil Premiership leaders Belle Vue in the play-off semi-finals.
The Witches stage the first leg of the tie at Foxhall on Monday and Coleman knows it’s imperative that they build an advantage to take to Manchester for the return.
He said: “We go into the play-offs on a real high after a fantastic 48-42 win away to Leicester on Monday, which secured our spot.
“While we have had some ups and downs in recent weeks, it all starts from zero in the play-offs, and I know the team will be determined to make the most of home advantage as we bid to take the biggest lead possible to Belle Vue.
“Facing an Aces team featuring Brady Kurtz and Jason Doyle will be no easy task, but no fixture is easy when you get to this stage of the season.
“While Monday isn’t our regular race day, this is our most important meeting of the season so far, and I would urge all Witches fans to pack Foxhall and get behind the team on Monday.”

MIDDLESBROUGH host Leicester in the WSRA National Development League tonight (Saturday) in a match which could see the title decided.
A win for the home side would mean the Lion Cubs would be mathematically unable to catch runaway leaders Edinburgh.
The Tigers operate rider replacement for the injured Harry Sadler whilst Liam Greens continues as an unattached guest for Jade Mudgway. Max Perry is again ruled out for the Lion Cubs with rider replacement in operation.
