LATEST SPEEDWAY CLASSICS MAGAZINE #8 NEARING COMPLETION
Feature photo: Bob Tattersall driving the McGee Tornado Offy at the Sydney Showground in 1968.
By Dennis Newlyn.
The next Speedway Classics #8 magazine (in the revival series), to be released and available at all major newsagents in Australia later this year in plenty of time before Christmas for that special gift, is nearing completion.
The 2026-27 edition is the biggest ever produced – A MASSIVE 148 PAGES!
That’s a lot of work – and don’t I know it!
But I have a fine team of correspondents who help carry the enormous load.
The magazine will also be available directly via mail order service.
There is a very special tribute in this edition to the late, great Sydney speedway announcer and media man Steve Raymond (OAM).
NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN PHOTOS

This issue again contains many never-before-seen photos to support features on Jim Airey, Bob Tattersall, Neil Gould, John Hughes, Australian speedway sedan racing, a very interesting story on Allan Moffat’s dramatic speedway experience, Poland’s domestic league racing dominance, the former Dynamic Speedcar Club – and much more!
The front cover looks great – and one of the highlights is the extremely rare photo of American legend Bob Tattersall driving the McGee Tornado Offy at the Sydney Showground in 1968.
A magazine launch is also currently in the planning and will be announced soon.
