WOFFINDEN REFUTES MEDIA REPORTS OF 2026 SPEEDWAY GP NO SHOW!
Triple world champion Tai Woffinden has hit back at media reports that he’s out of the 2026 Speedway GP series, declaring “my health is great.”
The Great Britain star is currently training at his Aussie base in Perth ahead of the European season in the spring, as he works to recover from the season-ending injuries he suffered in March 2025.
Woffinden was handed a permanent wild card for the 2026 Speedway GP World Championship and will also compete for Ostrow in Poland’s Metalkas 2. Ekstraliga, as well as for Bauhaus Elitserien side Dackarna in Sweden.
After reading reports in sections of the Polish media, suggesting he wouldn’t be coming to the tapes on the sport’s biggest stage, Woffinden took to Instagram to deliver a firm rebuttal.
He posted: “I don’t wanna burst your little Polish media bubble. BUT…. I’m still in Speedway GP, still racing for Ostrow, still racing for Dackarna.
“My health is great, my body comp is great, my mind is great, and unless you hear it from me or my socials, it’s not true.”
