WITCHES’ NEW OWNERSHIP
IPSWICH promoter Chris Louis has confirmed the reigning Premiership champions will come to the tapes under new ownership this season.
Louis put the Witches up for sale in November after securing the top-flight league title for the first time in 27 years when they won the Grand Final against Leicester.
He said: “I vowed to leave the club in safe hands and that is why it has taken me this long to announce that a sale has been agreed, subject to contract.
“The sale is now going through due process and until that is complete, I am unable to name the new custodians of our great club.
“I can promise that there is no better person to take the Witches forward and I am truly excited for what the future holds. Work is well underway to build a team capable of competing to retain the title.”

SHEFFIELD number one Jack Holder has clinched the Australian title for a second time after winning all four rounds of the 2026 series.
Holder added to his victories at Albury-Wodonga last weekend with subsequent success at both Mildura and Gillman, reclaiming the national crown he previously won in 2023.
Such was his dominance that Holder clinched the title in his final qualifying ride of the last round, but he went on to defeat the previously unbeaten Rohan Tungate in the Final to win on the night.
Former champion Tungate was second at Gillman ahead of Jaimon Lidsey and King’s Lynn’s Ben Cook, but it was Lidsey who finished runner-up overall on 64 points, with Tungate third on 61.
