FIM SPEEDWAY: BRENNAN’S NEW DEAL WITH SWEDISH CHAMPS
Great Britain racer Tom Brennan is eyeing a second straight Swedish league title after extending his stay with Bauhaus Elitserien side Vastervik into 2026.
Brennan helped the coastal club to its first league championship since 2005 as part of a fine season, which also saw him win Britain’s Rowe Motor Oil Premiership with Ipswich and finish second in Poland’s Metalkas 2. Ekstraliga with Bydgoszcz.
The double FIM Speedway of Nations world champion is currently recovering from surgery on a broken left tibia and fibula, suffered in practice for the World Speedway Invitational in Industry Hills, California last weekend.
But once he’s back on track, Brennan is determined to help Vastervik retain its crown in 2026.
He said: “I’m happy to stay at Vastervik. I enjoyed myself fantastically well at the club during the past season and felt at home. The club took good care of me and the support from the fans was fantastic. I feel that the environment is helping me to develop, and I am looking forward to chasing a second straight title with the club.”
Elsewhere, Piraterna has confirmed the departures of Polish star Przemyslaw Pawlicki, who is set to race for another Swedish side, and Ludvig Selvin, who has joined Vargarna. Meanwhile, Emil Millberg has completed a return to Rospiggarna for 2026.
