2026 AUSTRALIAN SOLO CHAMPIONSHIPS SET FOR FOUR ROUNDS
Next years’s Australian Solo Championship set for four rounds.

The 2026 Australian Speedway (Solo) Championship will be held over four rounds between January 3 and 9, starting with a blockbuster double-header in Wodonga before travelling to Mildura and Gillman.
The superstars of speedway will kickstart their campaign with two days of spectacular action in Wodonga on the weekend of January 3-4, before leaving the NSW-Vic border and heading to Mildura (Vic) on January 7 and the finale in Gillman (SA) on January 9.
Memories are still fresh from an epic 2025 decider in Wodonga, with current Speedway Grand Prix (SGP) man of the moment Brady Kurtz making it multiple Australian championships after finishing ahead of Jack Holder, Chris Holder and Keynan Rew.

The Albury Wodonga Motorcycle Club is proud to announce that it will host the opening 𝗱𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲–𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 of the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, with racing to roar into Wodonga on 𝟯 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟰 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.
The four-round national series, held between 𝟯 – 𝟵 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆, will bring Australia’s best solo speedway riders to the region in what promises to be a 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴. After launching at AWMCC, the series will continue at the legendary venues of 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮 and 𝗚𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗮𝗻.
“This is a huge opportunity not only for our club but for the entire Albury-Wodonga community,” said 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗲, President of AWMCC.
“𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮 — it’s something that’s never been done before, and it shows real belief in the standard of events we’ve been delivering. We can’t wait to showcase our club and our region on a national stage.”
The announcement follows a period of strong growth for AWMCC, with recent facility upgrades and ongoing efforts to deliver top-tier events for riders and fans alike.
Spectators can expect 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗–𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗚, 𝗙𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗬 𝗙𝗨𝗡, and a 𝗩𝗜𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗔𝗧𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 when the championship hits town.
