FIM SPEEDWAY: THOMSEN AND KVECH: GP OF LATVIA STARTERS
Danish racer Anders Thomsen and Czech charger Jan Kvech are confirmed starters for the DEWALT FIM Speedway GP of Latvia – Riga this Saturday after Dan Bewley and Jack Holder withdrew.
The pair miss the event due to injury, with Bewley still recovering from the broken femur he suffered in Outrup on May 20, while Holder is healing from the multiple injuries he sustained when he crashed out of the DEWALT FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Wroclaw on June 20.
Swedish star Fredrik Lindgren is due to take his place in Riga after being confirmed in his country’s starting line-up for 11.lv FIM Speedway World Cup Semi-Final 2 – Riga this Friday as they take on hosts Latvia, Denmark and Norway.
Thomsen will be keen to regain the form that saw him win the BST FIM Speedway GP of Sweden – Malilla on July 11, while Kvech raced to his fourth straight LCQ in Lodz – finishing fifth with 12 points to achieve the best Speedway GP result of his career so far.
