LAMBERT WINS 2026 FIM SGP CHALLENGE
Great Britain racer Robert Lambert cemented his spot in the 2027 FIM Speedway Grand Prix series as winner of the 2026 FIM SGP Challenge in Terenzano on Saturday.
Lambert was joined in qualifying for the 2027 Speedway GP World Championship by Australia’s Rohan Tungate, who makes his full-time series debut after finishing second in Italy.
Polish star Kacper Woryna finished third to guarantee his spot in Speedway GP, while Swedish champion Kim Nilsson produced a sublime final heat, before qualifying in fourth position.
Latvian icon Andzejs Lebedevs took fifth place and will also compete in Speedway GP next season if Lambert or Woryna finish inside the 2026 Speedway GP World Championship’s top seven.
He will be joined by sixth-placed Danish star Michael Jepsen Jensen if both Lambert and Woryna reach this season’s SGP top seven.
