Good news!
The Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series is going on the road again for the 2026-27 season.
On the back of a handful of rounds held in regional Western Australia last year, it has been confirmed there will be country racing again this summer.
The series will first head to Bunbury Speedway on November 7 for round three, for the running of the WA Sprintcar Championship, the first time this event has been held at the South West venue for some time.
Round six will see the return of the popular Albany round, on December 12.
Round 12 will be back at Bunbury Speedway on January 3 as part of the big Speedweek campaign that is mainly hosted at the Perth Motorplex.
All roads will head to Geraldton City Speedway for a long weekend double header on February 27-28.
It is still to be confirmed if there is another round of the series in the country, with any announcements expected in coming weeks.
The series roars back into life on October 24 for the City of Kwinana Powerpalooza at the Perth Motorplex.
Round 2 is the Electrical Group Training Westernapolis on October 31, followed by the Scardifields Smash Repairs King of Wings on November 14.
The fourth round is the Jolly Good Auto Electrics John Day Classic, at the Motorplex on December 5.
Speedweek kicks off on Boxing Day for the Burson Auto Parts Boxing Day Bonanza.
This is followed by three nights of High Limit International: Perth on December 28, 29 and 30, then the Merger Contracting Sprintcar Muster on January 2.
Speedweek wraps up with the Slinglift Speedweek Finale, powered by Totally Workwear, on January 8-9.
The Motorplex is again hosting the Festival of Sprintcars in February, kicking off with the Barbagallo Australian Mr Sprintcar Nationals on February 5-6, before the Midweek Sprintcar Mayhem is held on Wednesday, February 10.
After a quick breather, the action returns for the Total Tools Rockingham Krikke Boys Shootout on February 12-13.
The Bella Modular Sprintcar Silver Cup will be on March 6, with the Asphalt Recyclers Australia Sprintcar Gold Cup on March 13, and the Maddington Toyota Speedway Grand Final on April 10.
