FIM SPEEDWAY: THOMSEN & KVECH STEP IN FOR WROCLAW GP ROUND
Danish racer Anders Thomsen and Czech charger Jan Kvech will both take their places in the DEWALT FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Wroclaw on Saturday as Dan Bewley and Fredrik Lindgren have officially withdrawn.
Bewley remains sidelined as he recovers from a fractured femur and a compressed vertebra in his back, suffered in a crash at Danish track Odense on May 20, which has kept him out of the last three Speedway GP rounds.
Meanwhile, Lindgren is recovering from injuries suffered in Polish club Lublin’s 46-44 loss away to Leszno on May 17.
First Speedway GP substitute rider Thomsen steps in for Bewley, bidding to build on the 14 championship points he scored across the two-night ATPI FIM Speedway GP of Great Britain – Manchester double-header on June 5 and 6.
Kvech, who replaces Lindgren, heads to Wroclaw on a high after winning the SEC Challenge in Lonigo last Saturday to qualify for the 2026 Speedway European Championship – the winner of which earns a spot in the 2027 SGP series. Kvech collected 15 points over two nights in Manchester.
