MADDINGTON TOYOTA SPRINTCAR SERIES SPONSORSHIP CONTINUES
Maddington Toyota will continue to be the naming rights sponsor for sprintcar racing in Western Australia for another three years.
Sprintcar Entrants Group chairman Geoff Kendrick and Maddington Toyota dealer principal Paul Davies confirmed the sponsorship extension at the annual awards night for the series, at Fraser’s Perth, last Saturday night, May 23.
Geoff thanked Paul and everyone involved in the company for their ongoing support of sprintcar racing.
“The support from people like Paul is the reason why the series is achieving so much,” Geoff said.
“These guys have been there to help, they have always put in a lot of money, effort and time – and we are creating things above and beyond the visions that anyone thought we could ever do.
“With the support of Maddington Toyota we are going forward and we are going to keep knocking on doors to make this happen for our sport.
“Paul and I have had a long association, being great mates and working together for about 35 years.
“We have spoken many, many times about the longevity of Maddington Toyota’s involvement in our series – as long as it is fruitful for the dealership.”
The new deal will see increased support for the series, which Geoff said was “sensational”.
He said the Maddington Toyota sponsorship was not only great for the Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series in WA, but also great for sprintcar racing in Australia and around the world.
Geoff said the SEG was very appreciative to have an international car brand be part of the WA-based series.
“It shows that our level of professionalism has grown with the partnership from Maddington Toyota,” he said.
“It is a partnership where we work hand-in-hand to make the series work, but what is even more important is that it helps produce car sales for Maddington Toyota and the greater AutoLeague group.
“Their support helps lift the profile of racing at the Perth Motorplex and the country venues that we have taken the series to, including Albany, where we had Albany World of Cars, as part of AutoLeague, support that round in mid-December.”

Paul was equally excited about the announcement.
“At Maddington Toyota, we are incredibly proud to continue our partnership with the Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series for another three years,” Paul said.
“What started as a passion for supporting grassroots motorsport in Western Australia has grown into one of the premier sprintcar series in the country, if not the world, and we are excited about where the future is heading.
“The growth of the series over recent seasons has been outstanding, with strong crowds at Perth Motorplex and regional venues, increased national attention, and some of the best sprintcar drivers in Australia and from the USA competing right here in WA.
“More importantly, the series continues to bring communities together – from local fans and families through to regional businesses and volunteers who all play a part in making our sport so special.”
Paul said this partnership was far more than branding on a race car or signage around a venue.
It’s about supporting the speedway community, creating opportunities for the sport to grow, and helping deliver world-class entertainment for fans across Western Australia.
“Through the support of the Sprintcar Entrants Group, Perth Motorplex, teams, drivers and supporters, the professionalism and profile of the series continues to reach new levels each season,” he said.
“We also see enormous value in taking the series into regional WA, supporting local tracks and communities including Albany, Bunbury, Geraldton and Kalgoorlie, while strengthening the connection between motorsport fans and the wider AutoLeague group of dealerships.
