History is set to be made this weekend, January 5, 6 and 7, as Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway hosts the NuTrend Homes Red Hot Summer Sprintcar Shootout, boasting six American competitors among the record 60 entrants battling for a $100,000 payout.

Freshly crowned Speedweek Champion Jock Goodyer will spearhead the Australian defence after winning three of the five rounds last week, and will be flanked by reigning Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic Champion Brock Hallett and Toowoomba dominator Lockie McHugh.
Supercars star Cameron Waters will make his Toowoomba debut after a standout fourth placing at Warrnambool on Monday night and Luke Oldfield returns to his home state after wowing West Australian fans with a stirring runner-up finish to Rico Abreu in Bunbury.
Sprintcars will take to the track at 5:15 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with tickets available at SpeedwayTickets.com.au and livestreaming available at ClayPerView.com
