GILLMAN SPEEDWAY: JAKE TURNER ANNOUNCED AS THE WILD CARD

Former three times New Zealand Under 21 Champion Jake Turner has been named as the Wild Card for the deciding round of the 2024 Australian 500cc Solo Championship at Gillman Speedway on Saturday January 13.
Turner, 27, has been based in Adelaide for the last few seasons and has recorded some impressive results winning the Gillman Solo Championship and was runner up in last year’s South Australian Title.Turner finished third in the recent South Australian title behind runner up Fraser Bowes and Victorian Justin Sedgmen, who won the title for a third time.
Bowes is the son of former International rider Shane Bowes and grand son of former National Champ Len Bowes has been named in the fifteen riders who will contest the five round series which kicks off in North Brisbane on Jan 4 before moving to Kurri Kurri on Jan 7 Albury Jan 9,Mildura on Jan 11 before finishing at Gillman on January 13.
Sedgmen has been named as the Wild Card for the fourth round at Mildura. Last years round at Olympic Park was cancelled due to the venue being under water due to the floods.
