SPEEDWAY TITLE DATES ANNOUNCED AHEAD OF NEW SEASON
The list of Australian Speedway Championship events for the 2023-24 season have been finalised, with fifteen national divisions going to battle for their respective crowns between January and May 2024.
Speedway Sedans Australia will host the first of the championships at Grafton Speedway (NSW) with the Australian Junior Sedan Title on January 18-20 before Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway hosts the Australian Sprintcar Championship the following weekend.
All eyes will be on Albany’s Attwell Park Speedway on the first weekend of March for the Australian Super Sedan Championship ahead of the first of three multi-title weekends between March 8 and 10 that will feature the Speedcar Championship at the Perth Motorplex, the SSA Street Stock Title at Western Speedway Hamilton, and the AMCA National Title at Moama’s Heartland Raceway.The Easter weekend at the end of March will also host three title deciders with the SSA Modified Sedans in Carrick Tasmania, the Formula 500 title in Toowoomba and Modlites at Grafton.
The SCCA Prosprint Championship will head to Geelong’s Avalon Raceway in Victoria on April 12-13, in advance of the busiest weekend of the season between April 25-27 when the Late Model Title heads to Toowoomba, Wingless Sprints at Sydney’s Eastern Creek Speedway, the Speedway Karting Association at Fraser Shores Speedway Maryborough, and the SSA Production Sedan Title at Mildura’s Timmis Speedway.
Dirt Modifieds will round out the title list on May 4 and 5 at Carina International Speedway in Bundaberg, Queensland It’s estimated that almost 1000 Speedway Australia competitors will embark on their respective national title campaigns from coast to coast across the fifteen divisions, bringing an economic windfall to fourteen different electorates nationwide.
