BJARNE Pedersen’s Farewell Meeting at Poole on March 30 will feature sides representing two title-winning clubs from the 2021 campaign.
The Dane won three top-flight league crowns during his time with the Pirates, who then took the Championship honours last year – whilst Pedersen helped Peterborough to win the Premiership.
The meeting will include the bulk of the clubs’ 2022 line-ups with the addition of British Champion Adam Ellis and former GP star Peter Kildemand.
Poole promoter Danny Ford said: “We are looking to make this a memorable evening for Bjarne, who has been the consummate professional throughout his long career.
“In addition to the challenge of the two clubs that won the leagues last year we are also planning a series of upright demonstrations and some Youth races too, whilst Bjarne himself will take to the track for his final laps to seal his British career.
“I think it will be the perfect way to kick-start our speedway season, and I hope we can attract a large crowd to honour Bjarne for the service he has given to British racing.”

ARMADALE have completed the signing of Josh Embleton as the first new face in their 2022 National Development League line-up.
Embleton, a title-winner with Leicester in 2019, started last season with his local club Newcastle only for the Gems to pull out of the NDL after two matches.
He said: “I had a good year at Leicester in 2019, since then I’ve had mostly bad luck. Obviously Covid, then I ended up at Newcastle and they closed the team after two meetings.
“My two meetings in 2021 were home and away against Armadale. Before that meeting at Armadale last year. I think it was my most hated track!
“I hadn’t been there for a long time but when we came with Newcastle it was like a new place. Totally, totally different to what it used to be, it was really smooth, nice to ride, consistent. I think I will enjoy it there.”
The Devils have also confirmed George Rothery and Lewis Millar will return to the side from last season.
