NSW V8 DIRT MODIFIED TITLE MOVED TO MARCH 5
THE NEW SOUTH WALES V8 Dirt Modified Championship has been transferred to March 5 following the cancellation of the February 5 race date at Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway due to wet weather.
The northern area of NSW has copped plenty of rain this past week and a call was made by promoter David Lander early Friday morning (February 4) to cancel the following night’s fixture.
“It was always going to be doubtful following the amount of rain that fell earlier in the week and overnight going into Friday morning,” David said after making the announcement.
“The weather has caused us to back log many of our major events to the latter part of the season,” he added.
For the record, the Lismore venue has already been washed out on December 1, January 1, 8 and 22 to add to this latest February 5 cancellation making it one of the worst seasons weatherwise for many years.
