ANDERSON CLAIMS A THRILLER AT WARRNAMBOOL
Night Two of the 49th South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic served up a bit of everything and the last 11 laps of the A-Main was the icing on the cake.
At the re-start, Grant Anderson and Marcus Dumesny embarked on a torrid chase of race leader James McFadden, before McFadden clipped the infield tyre on the exit of turn four, to hand the lead to Grant Anderson, who then withstood a high wire trapeze act from Marcus Dumesny to salute amongst lapped traffic..
Warrnambool’s Grant Stansfield has a career night, finishing fourth to secure a nice bounty of Classic points heading into night three while Ryan Jones was as persistent as ever with his fifth placed run.
The Super Rod Final Jason Kavenagh made it two from two on Classic weekend when he led home a hard charging Jamie May finished second ahead of the third placed Stan Marco.
