EASTERN CREEK SPEEDWAY LATEST
EASTERN CREEK SPEEDWAY UPDATE
The latest news received from Sydney Metro says NSW Government regulations will allow construction work to re-commence at Sydney’s Eastern Creek Speedway on Monday, August 16.
There has not been a daily schedule maintained since the Sydney Covid lockdown and construction off limits were imposed early July.
The project has lost six weeks. Workers will be tested for COVID before being allowed to enter the work force, which will be only at 50% of previous team capacity, when work resumes.
Up until Sydney’s long term lock down construction was progressing toward track activity possible for late September (practice) or at the latest early October.
It’s now very obvious the construction schedule has been put back and only when work re-commences next week will it be determined when a nearer completion time for the project can be forecast but, suffice to say, it will almost certainly be after October.
Up until the work stoppage the rate of progress was excellent and the concrete safety fence was going full speed ahead and keeping up within its time frame.
