KINGSHOTT WINS WA SPRINTCAR CHAMPIONSHIP AT BUNBURY
Dayne Kingshott is the WA Sprintcar Champion for the 2026-27 season.
He claimed the title at Bunbury Speedway on Saturday night, November 7, which doubled as round three (3) of the 2026-27 Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series.
A new look Bunbury Speedway delivered a great racing surface in front of a big crowd.
Kingshott claimed the 35-lap feature race from Callum Williamson and Kaiden Manders.
The Krikke Motorsport pilot started the main event from p2, alongside Jason Pryde.
Kingshott was fifth quickest overall and claimed heat 2 from the front row, while he posted a 5th in the reverse grid heat race that followed.
Williamson was 10th quickest before taking third and fourth in his heat races, starting the final from p7.
Manders started from p6 after he was the third quickest qualifier before going second and sixth in his heat races.
The start of the feature race was marred by contact between Ryan Farrell and Jason Kendrick who started alongside each other on the second row.
Farrell was able to keep going, however Kendrick’s ride was completely destroyed when the big crash triggered a series of outs, including Andrew Priolo, Chad Pittard and Jye McKenzie.
Kris Coyle was fourth (from p13), Mikey Green was fifth (from p16), Michael Keen seventh (from p12), Brad Maiolo eighth (from p8), Kodi Clayden ninth (from p22), while Pryde rounded out the top 10.
The action returns to the Perth Motorplex next Saturday night for the Scardifields Smash Repairs King of Wings to be contested over 40 laps.
