WHEN it comes to the upcoming 410 Sprintcar season campaign, there is no team more excited about the campaign than Bohud Racing.
After what was a turbulent 2025-26 season, following the injury to main driver Michael Stewart at the beginning of the season, to say that the Bohud Racing team is pleased about the full-time return of Michael would be quite the understatement.
“Due to having to sit out most of last season due to my back injury, I’m hungrier than ever before for a new season,” expressed Michael Stewart.
“During my time on the sidelines, I’ve spent a lot of that time raising my fitness levels and I’ve never felt fitter heading into a season, so I’m hoping that will hold me in good stead to hit the ground running this season.”
For Stewart, the new season is shaping up as one of the busiest for him and the Bohud Racing team with over 30 plus nights of 410 Sprintcar racing.
“The team and I have planned a very busy schedule, which is going to include contesting many of the major east coast events, such as the Australian Championship, the Adelaide 500 event with the Supercars, the Grand Annual Classic and for the first time ever we will be heading down south over the Christmas-New Year period into South Australia and Victoria to take on the Speedweek Series,” explained the 31-year-old racer.
“Apart from the major events, the team and I will be running as much as possible within our home state of NSW, and no matter where we are going racing, we will be out there trying to get amongst the front-running contenders.”
Bohud Racing team owner Scott Jones shares his team driver’s enthusiasm for the 2026-2027 summer season with the NS # 14 Losi / Illawarra Truck Repairs & Spares supported Triple X car.
“It was a difficult time for the whole team last season, following Michael’s injury, then having drivers in and out of the car while Michael was sidelined and later in the season dealing with the sudden passing of my dad, Paul,” he said.
“Over the off season, the team and I have been very busy preparing for the new season with the race cars and the transporter, especially with us getting out and on the road a lot more this season, and I’m excited about us taking on the country’s best drivers at some new tracks and hopefully we can be up there running with them.”
The 2026-27 season gets underway for the Bohud Racing team with the Thunder on the Downs at Toowoomba Speedway in Queensland this Friday and Saturday night (September 18 and 19).
