The calendar for the 2026-27 Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series (MTSS) is locked and loaded.
The Sprintcar Entrants Group (SEG), as the convenor of the MTSS, has now ratified the final calendar.
There will be 24 nights of sprintcar racing here in Western Australia this coming summer, with 23 of those being official rounds of the series – this is exactly the same number of dates as last year’s championship.
The bulk of the rounds will be held at the world-class Perth Motorplex and the SEG is incredibly proud to have a strong relationship with Motorplex management.
It kicks off with the City of Kwinana Powerpalooza on Saturday, October 24 and wraps up with the Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series Grand Final on Saturday, April 10.
The usual highlights are back, including Speedweek, which is showcased by the third High Limit International: Perth, as well as the Festival of Sprintcars.
The series will feature two rounds in Bunbury this season, with the South West venue to host the WA Sprintcar Championship for the first time in a while.
Albany will host another round prior to Christmas and the series will return to Geraldton for a big double header long weekend show at the end of February.
SEG chairman Geoff Kendrick said a lot of meetings were held in the off-season to produce the calendar, with other venues considered.
“We thank all the venues/clubs that we have been engaged with – it is always important to consider tracks that will best showcase the Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series – and while we would love to race at more places, it is hard to fit it all into a schedule that is workable for the teams,” Kendrick said.
