FIM SPEEDWAY: LINE-UP FOR FIM SGP4 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP – MALILLA CONFIRMED
Riders aged 11-13 from 10 different countries compete in youth speedway’s newest world-championship event, contested on the 190cc SGP4 bikes designed by Sweden’s six-time FIM Speedway World Champion Tony Rickardsson.
Racing takes place on the Malilla training track at 11:00 CEST on Saturday, hours before the Skrotfrag Arena stages the BST FIM Speedway GP of Sweden – Malilla at 19:00 CEST, with SGP Qualifying taking place at 14:00 CEST. The 2026 BST FIM SGP2 of Sweden – Malilla, the opening round of the FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship, will also be staged on Friday at 17:00 CEST.
Taking part in this action-packed weekend is 2025 SGP4 runner-up Harry Moller from Denmark, who bids to swap silver for gold after being pipped to the title by compatriot Tino Stjernegaard Olsen in Vojens last year.
Also back from the 2025 competition are American racer Riley Rearick, who was fifth last year, Sweden’s Theo Trofast, placed sixth in 2025, and Denmark’s Simon Jul Vindum, who finished ninth. Slovakia’s Ondrej Trnik, Great Britain racer Fraser Buckle, who trains as part of the Oxford club, and Latvia’s Valters Buss are also among the returning stars.

Also among the entrants is Czech talent Dominik Suchanek, from the family of former Czech international Tomas Suchanek.
Host nation Sweden has four riders in the line-up, with Trofast joined by Charlie Hilmersson, Emil von der Geest and Moses Oberg.
Lio Emil Kjaersgard joins Moller and Jul Vindum in representing Denmark, while Schlein faces competition from fellow Aussie talent Ryleigh McGregor. Felix Frantila flies the Finnish flag, and Levi Pentzek represents Germany.
The FIM SGP4 World Championship is contested over a straight 20 heats, with no semi-finals or final. The highest scorer after 20 heats is crowned champion.
Riders will also practice in Malilla on Friday, as they gain experience in their quest to climb the FIM Speedway pyramid, with SGP3 for 250cc under-16 riders next on their horizon.
With 2024 SGP4 champion Brady Landon finishing second in the 2026 Beckhoff FIM SGP3 Final – Wroclaw on June 19 and 2023 SGP4 winner Elias Jamil Jensen placed third, we could be seeing a few of Saturday’s SGP4 stars regularly on the FIM Speedway stage in the coming years.
