TITLE SPONSOR ANNOUNCED
ALLIED Vehicles have been announced as title sponsors for the Ben Fund Bonanza at Glasgow on Saturday March 28.
The company have invested heavily into Ashfield Stadium during their decade-plus in charge, and they have now agreed further backing for the crucial fund-raising meeting.
SRBF Chairman Paul Ackroyd said: “We are indebted to the Facenna family, Allied Vehicles and Glasgow Speedway for agreeing to be the main sponsor for the Ben Fund Bonanza. It’s the biggest sponsorship we’ve had to date.
“They are a very successful business and are the UK’s leading manufacturer and supplier of adapted and special purpose vehicles.
“They are really getting behind British Speedway, including of course Cab Direct’s backing for the Championship.”

SCUNTHORPE have completed their line-up for the Cab Direct Championship campaign with the return of long-serving Simon Lambert.
The 36-year-old is standing down from the captaincy this year as new No.1 Josh Pickering takes over, but Scorpions team manager David Howe is backing his former skipper to recover from a below-par season in 2025.
Howe said: “As the team came together, we could see that Simon fitted that final spot pretty perfectly, and I’m not sure that there are many more capable riders on his average.
“I had a few long conversations with Simon, and he told me how he felt, and I was honest with him and my expectations on-and-off track.
“Scunthorpe are usually very loyal to their riders, but this wasn’t loyalty; this was maths. I also didn’t want another club to benefit from Simon having a bad year last season.
“He is on a bargain average, but it’s only a bargain if it was a blip and not his level; it’s now in Simon’s hands to show us that it’s a bargain.”

WORKINGTON newcomer Niklas Holm Jakobsen says the advice of fellow countrymen played a big part in his decision to start his UK career with the club.
The 18-year-old says new Comets No.1 Jonas Jeppesen has been a big influence on his career, and he is looking forward to teaming up at the GT Tyres Arena.
Jakobsen said: “I have always wanted to go to the UK, difficult tracks, more grip and more races to improve myself.
“Last year I was with Jonas in Berwick to see what it is like and I just wanted to go!
“I chose Workington after talking with other riders, like Jonas, Claus Vissing and a bit with Hans Andersen.
“I am 100 per cent ready, I have a busy calendar, and I hope to race as much as possible. I don’t know a lot about the UK so the first season here I will be learning, but I think it will be a great experience.”

LEICESTER have announced both Max Perry and Ryan Ingram will remain with the club at National Development League level this season.
Perry will be going into his fourth campaign overall with the Lion Cubs whilst Ingram enjoyed a highly successful debut campaign in 2025.
Manager Jen Crossland said: “It was a shame that Max missed so many meetings for us last season because of injury and commitments elsewhere, but when he was available he did a great job and we’re pleased to have him back.
“It’s amazing that Ryan was actually worried this time last year that he wouldn’t be able to get around Leicester, and then look what he achieved in his first season.
“He was a real success story and the improvement he made as the year went on was exceptional, and that was shown by him also picking up a Championship place for 2026 after just one season in the NDL.”
