JACK HOLDER’S EMERGENCY RETURN TO ENGLAND
By Dennis Newlyn
Speedway GP star Jack Holder has been forced to withdraw from the upcoming February 7 fixture at Western Sydney Speedway to make a mercy dash back to England.
Jack was scheduled to ride in the bike meeting but received news late last week his house in England’s Northamptonshire was flooded due to a broken water pipe.
Jack learned the devastating news after a phone call from his brother Chris, who is back in England, following a routing visit to the house.

The upstairs rooms are worst affected after a roof collapse which will require a major rebuild.
“When I got the news from Chris, I was devastated because I also wanted to honour my commitment at Western Sydney Speedway on February 7,” Jack explained.
“After all the hard work with track testing and getting bikes back in Sydney, I am so disappointed to miss out on the ‘Sydney Send Off’ which was scheduled to be my last meeting before flying back to England.”
Jack will leave his partner Jess and son in Sydney with his unexpected earlier than scheduled return to England.
“I cannot apologise enough for what has happened and I cannot but help feel I have let people down. But under the circumstances of the house, it’s a ‘must do’ situation and I was left with no alternative but to withdraw from the meeting and head back to sort out the situation with my house,” Jack added.
