The Krikke Motorsport team opened their 2025-26 season winning account at the Perth Motorplex on Saturday night November 1, when team driver Dayne Kingshott scored a dominant victory in the second Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series round.
Shooting for a Maddington Toyota Series three-peat, Kingshott and the team were in great form throughout the night, and they capped the night by leading the entire 30-lap feature race journey after starting from the outside of the front row.
“It was great to get the first win under the belt so early in the season, and it was certainly a hectic feature race with a lot of green laps and a fast track, but full credit to the whole team for giving me a fantastic car all night and we were able to finish it with the best possible result,” expressed the WA # 2 Mobil 1 / Bunbury Toyota supported Maxim racer, who had earlier in the night won his heat race, his dash and then the feature race.
“The main focus for the team this season is to try and claim a Maddington Toyota Series three peat, and although we had a controversial opening round but we fought back with a top five result and then responded in the best possible way with a win during last Saturday night second round, the team and I are very happy with our start to the season and hopefully that can continue.”
Krikke Motorsport team manager Ryan Krikke echoed Kingshott’s comments.
“Obviously, I’m very pumped to bounce back and get the win after what happened at the opening round, as the car was good all night and Dayne executed perfectly in the feature, and you can’t really ask for much more than that,” he said.
“It’s good to get some momentum going leading into the bigger races, like King of Wings and then the few in South Australia and the NAPA race in Adelaide later this month, as we’ll be up against the best in the country then, so it’s a great confidence booster for all the lads.”
The next outing for the Krikke Motorsport team is set to be on November 15 back at the Perth Motorplex for the annual King of Wings, where Kingshott is aiming for three King of Wings wins in a row.
