NORTHLINE SPEEDWAY: THOMPSON READY FOR CHARIOTS CHALLENGE:
By Daniel Powell (Redline Media)
The biggest challenge of Jet Thompson’s short 410 Sprintcar career awaits him when he contests the upcoming 2025 Chariots of Thunder at Darwin’s Northline Speedway.
The 19-year-old and his family-based team heads up to Northline Speedway later this week from their Alice Springs base to tackle the Chariots of Thunder event.
Approaching the Chariots of Thunder, Jet has run a handful of Sprintcar race meetings around his home track – Arunga Park Speedway – and earlier this season ventured to Northline Speedway to contest one of their club race meetings.
“I’m very excited about being able to compete against some of the country’s top Sprintcar racers and try and learn as much as I can,” enthused the third generation Sprintcar racer.
“I haven’t set any big goals for my first Chariots of Thunder attempt other than being able to get the most out of the opportunity of being able to run three nights of Sprintcar racing in a row up against some quality opposition.”
This year’s edition of the Chariots of Thunder at Northline Speedway starts this Thursday night, followed by Friday and Saturday night’s action.
