PERTH MOTORPLEX: AJ NASH CLAIMS FIRST MAJOR WIN!

MADDINGTON TOYOTA SPRINTCAR SERIES MEDIA RELEASE: AJ Nash claimed his first major Sprintcar win when he crossed the line first in the Bella Modular Sprintcar Silver Cup at the Perth Motorplex on Saturday night, March 7.
The third-generation sprintcar racer started from position six in the final and stalked his prey when using the track’s low line to perfection, taking the win from Callum Williamson and Daniel Harding.
The win capped off a near perfect night for the driver of the Colonial Motorsport W9.
The good vibes started early when he won the Hoosier right rear tyre draw, even before the show started.
He went quickest in his qualifying season, then started from p4 in the third heat, converting it to a third place.
Nash then finished third in the Revolution Racegear B Dash, to set up the third row start for the 30-lap final.
He was into fourth with only a handful of laps in the books and started to use the low line well, getting to third at mid-race distance.
On lap 19 he went to second and set about running down early leader Williamson.
With seven laps remaining, Nash delivered the telling blow, taking the lead and then holding the front spot, even with a restart with five laps remaining, after Taylor Milling hit the fence in pits bend.
Williamson was no match for Nash in the run to the checkers, taking second in the Diamond Bay Motorsport W26, a car he will finish the season off in.
He was second quickest in his qualifying group, won his heat race and the Revolution Racegear B Dash, to start on the outside on the front row for the final.
On his inside was Harding who won the Revolution Racegear A Dash after earlier being the quickest qualifier in his group and won his heat race.
Kaiden Manders was fourth after starting from p5, Jason Pryde fifth (from p10), Dayne Kingshott sixth (from p3), Jack Williamson seventh (from p7), Mikey Green eighth (from p12), Jaydee Dack ninth (from p11) and Jye McKenzie 10th (from p13).
Chad Pittard, who hit the fence hard in qualifying, failing to get a lap time in, was 11th in the final after starting from p19.
Ryan Lancaster was out of the contest early, crashing hard on the main straight, only seconds after making contact with Milling on the back straight, ending his night.
Milling was the quickest overall in qualifying, being the Victory 1 Performance Quick Timer.
Round 21 of the 2025-26 Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series will be held at the Perth Motorplex next Saturday night.
