HARDING TAKES MADDINGTON TOYOTA ROUND AT GERALDTON
MADDINGTON TOYOTA SPRINTCAR SERIES
SUNDAY, MARCH 1 2026
Daniel Harding claimed round 18 of the Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series at Geraldton City Speedway on Saturday night, Fabruary 28.
In front of a great crowd at the mid west track, the driver of the Trevor Jolly Racing W18 crossed the line ahead of South Australian Luke Dillon, driving the Diamond Bay Motorsport W26 and Jason Kendrick in the Triple M Kendrick Racing W11.
The first night of the double-header at the Geraldton track was challenging, with a few major incidents involving a high number of cars.
Harding started the feature race from p2 and led for much of the contest, with the only challenge coming from Dillon who started from p4.
He started the night by being third quickest in his qualifying group and then took wins in both his heat race and the Revolution Racegear B Dash, setting up the front-row start.
Joining Harding on the front row was Jason Pryde, in the JPM 14, after he won the Revolution Racegear A Dash, on the back of a second in his heat race and setting the overall Victory 1 Performance Quick Time award.
It has been quite some time since Dillon has teamed up with the Diamond Bay team and he settled in well, being second quickest in his qualifying session, then taking third in his heat race and second in his dash.
Kendrick had a tough start to the night, opting to run an older black car, after the white one the team has been campaigning this summer was damaged at the last show.
He struggled for the best part of the night and started 16th in the final.
Kendrick managed to avoid the carnage unfolding in front of him early on in the final and moved forward, closing in on Dillon at the checkers.
Ryan Farrell, who made another welcome return to the series, finished fourth after starting from p6, while Dayne Kingshott had a top five finish after being caught up in the first major crash of the feature race.
The Krikke Motorsport crew made the hasty repairs and he resumed from the rear of the field, after originally starting from p5.
Myles Bolger had his best result of the season, taking sixth after starting from p11.
Kaiden Manders was seventh after originally starting from p9, while Kris Coyle was eighth, Michael Keen ninth, home-town driver Callum Williamson 10th, Kodi Clayden 11th, Jaydee Dack 12th, Pryde 13th, Taylor Milling 14th and Harrison Peet 15th, while Chad Pittard was a DNF.
Rd19 of the series will be back at Geraldton tonight.
