ANOTHER AUSSIE LINES UP FOR 2026 SHEFFIELD
SHEFFIELD skipper Josh Pickering has agreed a deal to finalise their side for the forthcoming 2026 Premiership campaign.
The fans’ favourite joins Jack Holder, Chris Holder, Anders Rowe, Leon Flint and Jye Etheridge as returning members from the team that finished last season with Rising Star Luke Killeen the only new face at Owlerton this term.
It will be a fourth year in a row that Aussie star Pickering has put pen to paper with the Tigers, and team manager Simon Stead is delighted to have his club captain back on board.
“Everybody knows my thoughts on Picko by now and we’re over the moon to keep him for another year,” Stead said.
“He’s all-action on track, he’s established himself as an out-and-out heat-leader in the top-flight and he’s a brilliant captain to have.
“There’s no doubt about it we’re going to need him to maintain a similar level of performance this season, if not keep improving, and there’s no reason why he can’t do that.”

LEICESTER have completed their line-up for the 2026 Premiership by announcing the return of former treble British Under-19 Champion Drew Kemp.
The 23-year-old has been associated with the Lions since their elevation to the top-flight in 2023, although last year was his first full season with the club.
Kemp said: “I’m looking forward to being back at Leicester. I had a fairly good year last year, although I won’t make any secret that I made plenty of mistakes!
“But Stewart (Dickson) has given me the opportunity again this year, and I really wanted to come back to Leicester and to rectify those things that I did wrong, and I know I can do that.
“Obviously coming second in the last two years isn’t ideal, but this year I really want to win a league title with Leicester, and it would be very good for the club.”
Kemp will line up with Rising Star Dan Gilkes at reserve, with the Lions’ top five comprising Ryan Douglas, Sam Masters, Nick Morris, Dan Thompson and Kyle Howarth.
