In what was a short Australian 410 Sprintcar racing trip for American Brad Sweet and the Landrigan Motorsports team, their schedule recently concluded for the 2025-26 season campaign over the Christmas-New Year period at the Perth Motorplex in Western Australia.
Contesting four nights of racing at the world-class Perth Motorplex, the Californian racer ran all three High Limit International nights, along with the fifth USA VS WA Speedweek Series round, and it saw the Sweet-Landrigan Motorsports team duo improve their performances, which resulted in 10th, sixth, 11th and fifth place finishes aboard the USA # 49 TLC Contracting supported Maxim.
“Although we would’ve liked to have finished a bit higher in the order over the four nights, the competition was tough and we were fairly happy with our progress, but our results weren’t a true reflection of our overall pace,” commented Landrigan Motorsports team manager Jamie Landrigan.
“This was the fourth season in a row that Brad has run for the Landrigan Motorsports team here in Australia, and as we always do, we have a good time together – both at the race track and away from it.”
Running a team with one of the world’s leading 410 Sprintcar drivers doesn’t just function by magic and the Landrigan Motorsports team would like to thank Steve Melville, American crew chief Joe Mooney and the cameo pit crew appearance during the High Limit International of Sprintcar legend Robbie Farr for their support. All three played positive roles within the Landrigan Motorsports team during Sweet’s latest Australian visit. Also, a special thanks must go out to the team’s youngest pit crew member in Zac who was fun to have around helping out where he could on race nights with great enthusiasm.
When it comes to the question of Sweet returning to Australia with the Landrigan Motorsports team next season, the answer is a resounding YES. Stay tuned for future Landrigan Motorsports team updates regarding Sweet’s Australian return.
