For the second night in three outings, American Buddy Kofoid claimed victory in the Sprintcar feature race at the Perth Motorplex.

His latest victory occurred on Monday (December 29) when he won night two of the three-night High Limit International: Perth feature race, which was also round eight of the 2025-26 Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series.
Driving the Pigdon Racing Team U7, Kofoid won the event from Tasmanian Jock Goodyer and local hero Dayne Kingshott.
His Monday night result followed a win at the same venue on Boxing Day and then a fifth place on Sunday night.
Kofoid started the main event on the outside of Kingshott on the front row – after setting the Victory 1 Performance Quick time of 12.773 seconds – the only driver in the 42-car field to dip into the 12-second zone.
From there he won his heat and was second in the Dash.
Kofoid took the lead early, holding down the front spot until he slipped back to fourth by mid-race.
When leader Corey Day, who won the feature race at the Motorplex 24 hours earlier, tagged the back straight fence with about eight laps remaining, Kofoid pounced and set sail for home.
Goodyer started from position five – as the afternoon sun was setting, he was second in his qualifying group, before third in his heat race and fifth in the Dash.
He dropped as low as seventh by midrace and claimed second with about four laps remaining.
Kingshott surrendered the lead early, dropping back to third and by lap 16 he went back another spot to fourth.
He was locked into some good battles, including with Brad Sweet, before settling for the last podium placing with about five laps to go.
Day finished fourth, ahead of Kyle Larson who started from p6.
Sweet started fourth and finished sixth, while Kaiden Manders started 10th and finished 7th, Aaron Reutzel started 11th and finished eight, Carson Macedo started 20th and stormed up to ninth and Rico Abreu rounded out the top 10 after starting from p14.
The race went 21 laps before Xavier Doney spun, activating the caution lights.
A couple of laps on, Kerry Madsen and Kris Coyle came together in a big way in pits bend, seeing Coyle’s car detach its fuel cell and heavily damage the catch netting.
This was hastily repaired by the Motorplex crew so the race could resume.
Heat wins went to Kofoid, national champion James McFadden, Day and Sweet.
Daniel Harding won an incident-packed B Main from James Inglis, Jaydee Dack and Cameron McKenzie who all qualified for the main show.
Taylor Milling led for much of the race before it was suspected he ran out of fuel, while another eight drivers did not finish.
The third and final night of High Limit action will be held on Tuesday night, with the winner of the 30-lap final banking $110,000 – the highest paying feature race in Australian sprintcar history.
