MANDERS IS WA SPRINTCAR CHAMPION
Kaiden Manders has claimed the 64th WA Sprintcar Championship at the Perth Motorplex on Saturday night.

He won the Jolly Good In Car Audio-backed event, that was round five of the 2025-26 Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series, from Dayne Kingshott and Queenslander Luke Oldfield.
Manders started on the outside of American Brock Zearfoss on the front row for the 35-lap event and ran second to the driver of the W95 for the first dozen laps, before taking the lead.
Zearfoss held second until suffering engine issues with about 27 laps completed.
Manders started on the front row after being eighth quickest overall in qualifying, then had a third and a win in his two heat races.
It was a big night for the Dan Golding Racing pilot, also winning the John Day Speedcar Classic on the same show.
Kingshott started the feature race from p6 – earlier he was fourth overall in qualifying, before struggling, going from second to fifth in his first heat race and then taking a fourth in the next outing.
This helps his overall series championship title defence, with his other results so far this season being a pair of wins and a fifth in the Krikke Motorsport W2.
Oldfield, driving for the Peet Q65, enjoyed his first podium placing in the series after starting from p4 for the final,
He was fifth overall in qualifying and banked solid points, thanks to a second and a fifth in the heat races.
Kris Coyle was fourth (from p10), with fifth to Daniel Harding (from p9), sixth to Callum Williamson (from p7), seventh to Brad Maiolo (from p14), eighth to Jack Williamson (from p11), ninth to Taylor Milling (from p5) and 10th to American Justin Whittall (from p8).
Jason Kendrick set the Victory 1 Performance Quick Time at the start of the show, with heat race wins going to Kendrick, Zearfoss, Whittall, Maiolo, Callum Williamson and Manders.
Round 5 of the series heads south next Saturday, when Albany Speedway hosts the Albany World of Cars backed event.
About 25 cars are expected at this big show.
