ROWE MOVES TO OXFORD
OXFORD have swooped to sign rising Great Britain star Anders Rowe who makes the move from Cab Direct Championship winners Poole.
Wiltshire-based Rowe raised his average to 7.57 at Wimborne Road, where he was second heat-leader as he helped the Pirates to league and Cup honours.
And Cheetahs boss Peter Schroeck feels it’s an ideal capture as they look to hit back from a tough 2025 campaign which saw them miss out on the play-offs.
Schroeck said: “Anders is a great guy who has shown fantastic form in the Championship and will bring something new to the team.
“We are assembling an exciting side, bursting with potential, which will be pushing for honours in 2026.”

DOUBLE winners Poole have announced the return of Lewis Kerr for a second season at Wimborne Road.
The 35-year-old was ever-present for the Pirates this year, averaging just under seven, with some key displays coming as they clinched the Cab Direct Championship and MAXiCab KO Cup trophies in October.
Promoter Dan Ford said: “Lewi’s a rider we firmly believe has plenty left in the tank. He returns on a low average, but we all saw what he’s capable of — especially at the end of last season when he delivered some outstanding performances.
“If he can maintain that level consistently, he’ll make a mockery of his average in 2026.”

HARD-CHARGING youngster Vinnie Foord will be back at Workington in 2026 after becoming a fans’ favourite in Cumbria during his first season with the club.
The 19-year-old, who made his Cab Direct Championship debut with Poole last year before switching to the Comets for a full campaign, returns to the GT Tyres Arena on a starting average of 3.69.
Club bosses believe his scores did not reflect his efforts and that he will be capable of pushing to reach the middle order of the team, with Foord having been cruelly denied victory in the British Under-19 Final by a mechanical failure when he was leading his last ride.
He joins new signing Jonas Jeppesen and fellow returnee Tate Zischke as confirmed starters for the Comets next year.
