THE RF Motorsport team have announced a change to their driver line up for the rest of the 2025-26 season in the Junior Formula 500 ranks, with the news that Raff Frisina is stepping away effective immediately and newcomer Kobe Wood will take over the driving duties.
After contesting the opening two race meetings of this season, Raff has made the decision with the full support of his parents, Dom and Stef, to step out of the WA # 3 Penrite supported Yoshimura built GSXR 600 Suzuki powered Hyper car, as he considers his future speedway racing activities. At the age of 14, Raff remains very passionate about speedway and is now focusing on working out his next move when it comes to speedway competition.
With every cloud comes a silver lining, and the RF Motorsport team is pleased to welcome Kobe Wood as their driver for rest of the current season. With no prior racing experience, but growing up within a speedway family, Kobe, aged 14, is looking forward to joining the Junior Formula 500 ranks and beginning his speedway racing journey.
The first outing for Kobe Wood and the RF Motorsport team will be the second Fast Friday Series round at the Perth Motorplex this Friday night, November 14.
Stay tuned for further updates of Raff’s speedway racing future.
