Chad Pittard is looking forward to his rookie 410 Sprintcar campaign so much that he is going to be starting his 2025-26 season a bit earlier than usual.
The Bunbury, Western Australia-based racer is next month beginning his rookie 410 Sprintcar season aboard his WX # 92 RAM Bunbury / Pittard Motors supported Triple X car at Darwin’s Northline Speedway for the Northern Territory’s two biggest 410 Sprintcar events, the Defend The Top End and Chariots of Thunder.
“The team and I thought it’d be a good idea to get some early laps in before our season starts here in Western Australia by travelling up to Darwin,” commented Pittard.
“With this being our first 410 season, our goal is to get as much track time as possible and learn more as we go along, and competing in five nights within a fortnight is going to blow out those off-season cobwebs and hopefully this will put us in good shape for what is going to be a big season of learning.”
Apart from successfully defending his Limited Sprintcar Association Club Championship last season, Pittard ran three 410 Sprintcar race meetings at the Perth Motorplex towards the end of the season, which has given him added confidence going into his debut 410 Sprintcar season.
“It was great to get three 410 shows in last season, as it allowed myself and the rest of the team to get our heads around this big step up,” the 25-year-old said.
“Being a part of the Maddington Toyota Series is very exciting for the whole team, and our goals for the season ahead are to improve with every outing and be able to consistency make feature races, and anything after that is going to be a bonus.”
The first outing of the new season for Pittard and his team is going to be the Defend The Top End on the Friday and Saturday nights of September 5 and 6 at Northline Speedway.
