FIM SPEEDWAY: VACULIK ISSUES INJURY UPDATE
Slovak star Martin Vaculik has confirmed he suffered “no fractures” after crashing out of the Events.com FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Gorzow on Saturday., June 21.
Vaculik tangled with German racer Kai Huckenbeck on the first turn of heat eight, with the Stal Gorzow rider withdrawing from his 100th Speedway GP event prematurely.
Huckenbeck competed in the rerun and heat nine but withdrew from the remainder of the round and his Polish club Bydgoszcz has confirmed he will undergo further tests and will not compete in their Metalkas 2. Ekstraliga match away to Tarnow on Sunday.
Vaculik is also set for further checks. Posting on Instagram after Saturday’s meeting, he wrote: “Unfortunately, I had an accident on the track. After the preliminary examination I can report that fortunately there are no fractures. I have a muscular injury. If serious, further tests will show.
“Thank you for all the messages and support it really means a lot to me. I will keep you guys updated. I will come back stronger!”
