Seiton Young dominated the opening night of the Bruce Maxwell V8 Dirt Modified Classic, culminating with his victory in the preliminary feature race at Castrol Lismore Speedway, April 19.
Young did not put a wheel out of place that started earlier in the programme when he was quickest in time trials after he stopped the clock at 13.401 seconds for a lap of the showground bull ring and a speed of 107.455 km/h.
This set a pattern for success that was followed with victory in the opening heat, then a repeat performance in heat four.
Other heat winners were: Scott Cannon, Brayd Stevenson, Marcus Reddecliffe and Michael Ardley.
Seiton Young set a torrid pace in the 15-lap preliminary feature and midway through the event, he put down the fastest lap of the race at 13.420 seconds (107.303 km/h).
Seiton was followed to the chequered flag in the main event by current Australian Champion Kevin Britten, while Mitchell Haynes was third.
The top ten were rounded out by Brock Gardiner, Kyle Armstrong, Marcus Reddicliffe, Mark Robinson, Josh Rose, Mick Reid and Phil McNamara.
The B-feature race for V8 Dirt Modifieds was taken out by Brayd Stevenson from Scott Cannon and Blake Eveleigh.
Stevenson recorded the quickest lap during the 15-lapper at 13.420 seconds and a speed of 107.303 km/h.
